PS5 on Rent in Mumbai and Delhi: Prices and What You Get

Sony raised the price of the PS5 standard edition in India to Rs. 69,990 this year. That is a lot of money for a console you might only switch on during a holiday, a cricket-free weekend or when a big game drops. Renting one in Mumbai or Delhi costs a few hundred rupees a day, and you still get the same console, the same controller and the same games.

This guide covers what a PS5 on rent costs in Mumbai and Delhi right now, what comes with it, how many days actually make sense, and how booking works on Rentux.

PS5 on rent in Mumbai: current prices

The two-controller listing is only Rs. 140 a day more than the single-controller one. If two people are going to play, take it. Sharing one controller for FIFA or Tekken gets old in about ten minutes.

The 3-day rate is the sweet spot for a long weekend. At Rs. 1,800 it works out to Rs. 600 a day, against Rs. 850 for a single day.

Look at the Delhi 14-day rate. Rs. 3,000 for two weeks is barely more than the 7-day price. If you are renting for a school break or you have leave coming up, ask for 14 days even if you think you will only need ten.

What comes with the console

Every PS5 listing above includes the console, at least one DualSense controller and two games of your choice. Confirm with the lender that the power and HDMI cables are in the box. The DualSense is the controller with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, and it is a big part of why PS5 games feel different from older consoles.

You need three things at home: a TV or monitor with an HDMI port, a power socket near it, and ideally a Wi-Fi connection if you want to play online or download updates. A 4K TV helps but is not required. The PS5 works fine on a regular HD TV.

Which games to ask for

Two games come with the rental, so pick them based on who is playing:

• Solo, story-heavy: God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, Ghost of Tsushima or Horizon Forbidden West. These are the titles people rent a PS5 for in the first place.
• Friends on the couch: a football game, a racing game or a fighting game. Anything you can pick up in five minutes and play in rounds.
• Open world for a long rental: GTA V or Red Dead Redemption 2 will easily fill two weeks.

How many days should you rent for?

This is where most people overspend. A rough guide:

• One evening or a party: 1 day. Book the two-controller version in Mumbai.
• Weekend: 3 days. You get Friday night to Sunday night without watching the clock.
• Finishing one big game: 1 week. Most story games take 20 to 40 hours, which is a week of evenings.
• Holidays or work leave: 14 or 15 days. The per-day cost drops a lot.
• A month or longer: the monthly rate. In Mumbai the bundle monthly rate of Rs. 5,500 is the cheapest per day of anything listed.

You could rent a PS5 for a full month roughly nine times before you spend what the console costs, and that ignores the games. Buying makes sense if you play most nights, all year. If your gaming comes in bursts, renting wins by a wide margin.

How booking works on Rentux
