PS5 Rental Price in India: Per Day, Week and Month Compared

"How much does it cost to rent a PS5?" sounds like a simple question. The honest answer is that it depends on the city, the bundle and how long you keep the console. A one-day rental costs several times more per day than a monthly one. This page lays out the current PS5 rental prices on Rentux for Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Gurugram, shows what each plan costs per day and explains how to pick the cheapest option for your plan.

What that means per day

The per-day number is the one to compare. Take the standard listing: Rs. 700 for one day, about Rs. 380 a day on the weekly plan (Rs. 2,650 divided by seven) and about Rs. 180 a day on the monthly plan (Rs. 5,500 divided by about thirty). The same console costs nearly four times as much per day if you rent it for a single day instead of a month.

In Pune, the weekly price of Rs. 2,000 comes to under Rs. 290 a day, and the monthly price of Rs. 3,800 to about Rs. 127 a day. In Mumbai, a week at Rs. 3,000 is about Rs. 430 a day. The gap between cities comes from the listing, the bundle and local demand, so it is worth comparing before you decide.

What changes the price

  • Duration. Longer plans cost much less per day.
  • Controllers. A second controller adds to the price. In Mumbai, the two-controller bundle is Rs. 990 for a day against Rs. 850 for one controller.
  • Games. Some bundles include two games. Others do not. Extra games are Rs. 50 a day, Rs. 200 a week or Rs. 500 a month each.
  • City. Listings differ across cities, and so do the prices.
  • Season. Weekends, festivals and big match nights are busy, so book early.

The cheapest way to rent a PS5

Here is a simple rule. If you will play for fewer than three days, take the day plan or the three-day plan. If you will play for four to ten days, take the weekly plan. Anything over two weeks, go monthly. Use one longer plan instead of extending a shorter plan several times, because each extension is charged at the shorter plan's rate.

Choose the bundle you need. One controller is enough for solo play. Add an extra controller for Rs. 250 a day only if you play with someone. Pick the games with a plan: a long story game such as God of War Ragnarok suits a week, while a party needs only a day of games.

Three examples with real totals

A birthday night in Mumbai. One day on the one-controller bundle is Rs. 850. If three friends play, the two-controller bundle at Rs. 990 is the better pick, and you can add a third controller at Rs. 250. The total for the day is about Rs. 1,240. Split between four people, that is Rs. 310 each for a whole night of games.

A long weekend in Pune. Three days of play is cheaper on a weekly plan than on three single days. A week at Rs. 2,000 costs less than three days at the one-day rate of Rs. 800, which would be Rs. 2,400. If you only need it for the weekend, check whether a three-day plan is listed on your page and compare it with the week.

A month of one big game in Delhi or Gurugram. Take the monthly plan if one is listed, and add a game at Rs. 500 for the month. On the standard listing, that is Rs. 5,500 plus Rs. 500, or Rs. 6,000 for a month of play. That is less than a tenth of the console price, and you keep your options open.

How renting compares with other ways to play

There are three other ways to play a PS5 game: buy the console, play at a gaming cafe, or borrow a friend's. A cafe charges by the hour, which adds up fast and does not let you play at home. Borrowing is free, but not always possible. Buying costs around Rs. 70,000 plus games, which are priced at Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 each. Renting sits in the middle: you play at home, on your own TV and at your own pace, for a defined period.

It also helps with the game cost. A new game can cost Rs. 4,000 or more. Renting the same game for a week at Rs. 200 means you can play five or six titles for the price of one.

Things to confirm so the price has no surprises

Before you send the enquiry, ask the team to confirm the final amount for your dates, what the plan includes and what happens if you want to extend. Ask when delivery and pickup happen, and whether the delivery is part of the quoted price on your listing. These are simple questions, and a clear answer before you book saves a confusing conversation later.

Rent or buy?

A PS5 costs around Rs. 70,000 to buy. At Rs. 5,500 a month, you would rent for about a year before you spent the same. For fewer months of play, renting is cheaper. It also lets you test the console before you decide to buy it. If you play every day for years, buy one and keep it. Our PS5 buying and model guide, PS5 Disc vs Digital vs Slim, can help if you do.

Questions to ask before you book

  1. Is this the disc or digital model?
  2. How many controllers and games are included?
  3. What is the price for my exact duration, and is there a longer plan that is cheaper?
  4. When will it be delivered and picked up?
  5. Can I extend if I want to keep it longer?
