Which plan fits your weekend
- One evening or a Saturday: 1 day at Rs. 700. Good for a friends night.
- Long weekend or Diwali break: the 3 day plan at Rs. 1,800 is cheaper than three single days at Rs. 850 (Rs. 2,550).
- A week of gaming: Rs. 2,650 on the standard listing works out to about Rs. 379 a day.
- A full month: Rs. 5,500, or about Rs. 183 a day, if you plan to finish a couple of big games.
What you get in the box
Each PS5 listing comes with the console, a DualSense controller (two on the 2 controller listing), two games, a power cable and an HDMI cable. You need a TV or monitor with an HDMI port and a basic internet connection if you want to download updates or play online. For game ideas, see the PS5 and PS4 games on rent in Mumbai collection, where titles start at Rs. 50 a day.
Playing a PS5 in a Mumbai flat
Most Mumbai homes are compact, so a few small choices make a big difference. Place the console where air can move around it, not inside a closed TV cabinet. Keep volume down late at night, since flats share walls, and use a wired headset if the building is strict about noise. If you only have a TV in the living room and a family that wants to watch it too, a weekday evening slot works better than a Saturday night.
The monsoon months also change how people use a rental. A wet weekend with friends and a split-screen racing game costs less than a night out and needs no travel. Festival weeks such as Ganeshotsav and Diwali are the other busy times, when family gatherings need something to play. Our Diwali party gaming setup guide covers a full living room plan.
Rent or buy: the quick maths
A new PS5 standard edition is listed at Rs. 69,990 in India as of October 2026 (Sony raised the price in July). At Rs. 5,500 a month you would need to rent for more than twelve months before the rental total passes that figure, and most people play one or two games and stop. For a short break, renting is the clear winner. If you play every day for a year, buying is cheaper in the long run. Other consoles in Mumbai
